More than 30 years have passed since I graduated from Hudson's Bay High School and embarked on a journey across the United States as both an athlete and business professional. Reflecting on those experiences, what stands out most are the relationships and sense of camaraderie from working together towards shared goals. These experiences have taught me the importance of meaningful conversations, insightful questions, and helping others achieve their objectives.

Opening a business in my hometown of Vancouver has been a dream come true. Leaving Vancouver in 1987 to pursue my degree, I had just finished playing in the American Legion National Championship as a member of the Vancouver Cardinals. Today, my agency is located in the Hudson's Bay neighborhood. Nearby, my son and I have been coaching a Little League team at Fort Vancouver Little League for three years. Although my journey took me away, it brought me back to the city and community I cherish.

Raising three incredible children in different American cities has been a priceless experience for my wife Michelle and me. Adapting to new environments and cultures has enriched our lives. After a successful corporate career, we decided to return to my hometown, where we now reside in the Hough Neighborhood. Working with my wife daughter Alexa, and our growing team of amazing insurance professionals brings great joy.

Building relationships, helping others, and being active community members are priorities for Michelle and me. Serving on the Board of the Children's Miracle Network of St. Louis fulfilled these needs during our time in the Midwest. Serving our hometown community has been an amazing adventure. As our agency grows, we are excited to combine our experiences, provide exceptional service, and give back to our community even more. The more success we achieve, the more we will reward our community for embracing us.

Office Manager

Michelle Riley is the Office Manager for Jim Riley State Farm Insurance.  Michelle brings over 12 years of administrative experience in Office Management, Office Assistant and Customer Service. She is responsible for all office procedures, and uses her organizational skills to ensure smooth operations in a busy work environment.  Her job is to oversee the office operations and she is committed to making our customers and their families experience in our office a positive one.

Michelle has been a resident of Vancouver since she moved from St. Louis, MO in 2017.  While she spent some time in the Midwest, Washington is where she was born and spent most of her adult years.  She is thrilled to be back in the PNW and thoroughly enjoys working right along side her family.  Michelle loves to participate in outdoor activities and spend time with extended family whenever possible.

Alexa Riley is an account manager for Jim Riley State Farm Insurance. Alexa is fresh out of college, and beginning her career with aspirations of one day running her own agency.  During the day to day, Alexa is responsible for identifying customer needs, servicing their existing policies and growing our business through developing long-term relationships within our agency and the community.

Alexa has had the opportunity of growing up in multiple cities across the U.S. resulting in an amazing ability to connect with people.  Alexa loves to travel, hike, camp, and explore all the PNW has to offer. Whether it’s snowboarding in the winter or hiking in the summer, she loves the outdoors.

Alexa is also extremely competitive.  She began a long run playing competitive soccer as a youth.  While living in Las Vegas, at the age of 12, Alexa and her 12U Soccer team won the Nevada State Championship.  Her success on the soccer field continued well into her college years.  As a freshman, she was selected Player of the Year in her Division.  It will be fun to watch Alexa competing with her brother Taylor (one of our other Account Managers) each month as they work together to service our customers and grow our business by providing remarkable customer service. ~
